Good day folks. I have been tasked with installing a newer version of our blog software, Wordpress, and security updates for our blogging server. During the process, some of the blogs temporarily broke; some of the templates and / or plug-ins that were in use are no longer compatible with the new version of Wordpress that we are using. I had to remove the offending themes and plugins, and did what I could to repair the blogs that were affected.
All of the blogs should be back online. Due to the sheer amount of blogs running on the system, currently over 260, I wasn’t able to check everyones. Please, log in at your convenience and make sure your page loads. If it does not load or gives you an error page, e-mail me, and I will fix it immediately. Do not panic, all of the entries and uploaded files have been backed up! If your page appears to be using a different theme than what you set, you’ll need to select a new theme for your blog. The old one was deleted because it was breaking things.
Thank you for your patience and understanding. These upgrades provide new security against hackers and spammers, and as with any upgrade, some of the older features that we got used to had to be removed.
Sincerely,
Bradley M. Brown Jr.

This summer an offer to submit a story for the upcoming Chicken Soup for the Soul book titled Teacher Tales was presented to the State Teachers of the Year (SToY). Several of us (including me) were eager to take up this offer and submitted a story. The few entries received from our group were well received by CSS to the point that Amy Newmark, (owner and editor of CSS) spoke to our SToY group and invited all ToYs to submit a story. This was beyond wonderful to say the least!
